| | Hey: The first thing you may wish to know about scala is that it is only semi- compatible with regular lego bricks -- for example, only bricks 2 studs across will work on the baseplate. Despite this shortcoming, I like the baseplate a lot. I see (...) (25 years ago, 11-Jan-00, to lugnet.scala)

| | | | (...) 1x1 round bricks will fit in the center of a Scala stud (as will any other shape which has the same cross section as a tube). The studs are normal height, so 2xY plates also work. (...) | | | | One other interesting thing, I haven't checked it out for sure yet, but the baseplate has an extra rim which looks like it will make it the same thinkness as a plate instead of slightly thinner. This is also the case for the baseplate in Belville (...) (25 years ago, 12-Jan-00, to lugnet.scala)
