Hey:

The first thing you may wish to know about scala is that it is only semi-
compatible with regular lego bricks -- for example, only bricks 2 studs across
will work on the baseplate.  Despite this shortcoming, I like the baseplate a
lot.  I see myself building some very girlie edifice on the baseplate
eventually.  A paradisa castle, if you will...

Here are the interesting parts that will probably, or almost work with system:

Trans blue dolphin (drawback is that it will not attach to normal lego studs)
two planters, turquoise and lime green
non-system flowers (yellow and white)
cherries
two 3 leaf elements in two colors, dark and light green
lime green columns and archway
lime green round table top with four studs in center, (old space element?)
pale avocado green round table top as above
a printed double tapedeck portable radio in white 1x3
two pale turquoise 2x2 tiles
four turquoise 1x8 tiles of a lighter color than Rock Raiders bricks
a red book
a handful or red and yellow 1x1 tiles
a hot pink book
3 orange orbs 1x1
a 1x4 plus pale yellow towel rack
pale green tube of toothpaste, lotion, and pump style soap dispenser
a pale orange brush and hand mirror (slightly too large for minis to hold)
a different pale orange clam
a yellow banana
a quasi brown croissant -- could be a loaf of bread to a mini

So anyway, I don't feel totally ripped-off at the shop@home special price I
paid for this thing.  May be worth having for some of these unusual items...

(...) 1x1 round bricks will fit in the center of a Scala stud (as will any other shape which has the same cross section as a tube). The studs are normal height, so 2xY plates also work. (...) Doesn't the dolphin have a 2x4 tube area on the bottom? (...) (25 years ago, 12-Jan-00, to lugnet.scala)
