Here are a couple issues regarding my Gigamesh Spybot. I presume it's the
same for all of them.
1. The manas controller controller works with the Spybot. That's great.
However, it works with the channel set to any of its four positions. That
is a little bothersome.
2. Both the manas controller and the spybot controller are left-right
mirrored from the Spybot motors. In other words, pressing the left top
button on either controller drives the right motor forward. Pressing the
right top button drives the left motor forward. In the manas unit it seems
like the manas controller is "correct" with respect to left-right
button/motor alignment. But that unit doesn't have an as clearly
established "front" as does the Spybot brick. As built via the included
instructions the manas feel like when you press the left buttons the left
motor reacts. With the Gigamesh, at least, the left buttons control the
right motor and the right buttons control the left motor. It feels weird
when executing a turn. And it's definitely opposite of how turning works
with the manas.

Once I reestablished the secure channel the manas controller only controls it when (...) (22 years ago, 5-Aug-02, to lugnet.robotics.spybotics)
