| Hello I am just starting with my first Spybot and want to know how can I use a Spybot to controll an rcx and even better how can I control an spybot with the rcx. | Wow, Someone who knows about this!!! First off, do you have any clue on how to access the IR port from a embedded VC++? I know how to program in C++, and VisualBasic, but how does VisualC++ work? I've never dealt with VC++, or any type of hardware (...) (22 years ago, 13-Sep-02, to lugnet.robotics.palm, lugnet.robotics, lugnet.robotics.spybotics)

| I noticed that my Spybotics remote control has 3 LEDs in it, on being the small visible red one for seeing that it is working, a large white one with a flat end, and a large grey one in a normal LED casing. | (...) That's not true... I've controlled my RCX, Scout, and Spybotic with my iPAQ 3635 through the IrDA port. I used a demo version of "TV Remote Controller v3.0" from (URL) think those programs use the 3-wire mode of IrDA. More info here: (URL) (...)
