No, that wasn't the problem... :-) But... Ta-da.... Now I can commit!!!! :-)
My problem was that I checked-out using :pserver:*... As anybody knows (I
don't) CVS marks the first login-method/root in a file ("CVS/Root"), so you
can try whatever you want but from the :pserver: checkout you are
"read-only" because of these "Root" files!
Note that this read-only behavier is forced by souceforge: only ssh access
can write on CVS.
The right CVSROOT for _write_ access _MUST_ be:
:ext:yourlogin@cvs.legOS.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/legOS
The solution is to setup CVS/WinCVS for SSH, re-checkout everything (or
manually patch the CVS/Root file for the right login) and finally do commit!
:-)
So, make ssh works on your system and setup Wincvs to use it
(preferences/authentication:"SSH server"). Docs on setting SSH can be found
here: http://cdx.sourceforge.net/win-HOWTO.htm
Note that using Wincvs, you will get a "spawn" of a ssh shell asking
"blindly" for a password (I'm working on this). After you type the password
(blindly in the spawned ssh shell) everithing WORKS (read/write)! :-)
If you use CVS from command line, instead, everything works as aspected (it
always asks for password but not blindly).

SSH repository"

Let me know if it works for you!

Paolo.

| That's why I told you to recheck whether or not you were using the pserver.
