Hi all,
I just installed binutils and gcc, targeted at the h8300-hms platform.
Worked fine, however, when I try to build brickOS (0.9.0), it bails with
this error:
make[2]: Entering directory
`/home/bart/downloads/brickos/brickos-0.9.0/lib/float'
/usr/local/bin/h8300-hms-as fixsfsi.s -o fixsfsi.o
fixsfsi.s: Assembler messages:
fixsfsi.s:195: Error: invalid operands
make[2]: *** [fixsfsi.o] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory
`/home/bart/downloads/brickos/brickos-0.9.0/lib/float'
make[1]: *** [all] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/bart/downloads/brickos/brickos-0.9.0/lib'
make: *** [all] Error 2
It seems like it is trying to assemble something that is not possible on
the h8300-hms platform. I build and installed binutils and gcc, as follows:
Binutils, version 2.15:
./configure --prefix=/usr/local --target=h8300-hms
make
su -c "make install"
GCC, version 3.4.3
./configure --prefix=/usr/local --target=h8300-hms --enable-languages=c
make
su -c "make install"
Any help would be greatly appreciated,
TIA
Bart
