We are pleased to announce our first release of the LEGO.NET
package, which allows to execute Microsoft IL code (as
generated from C# and other languages) on the Lego Mindstorm
hardware. This environment has a GCC front-end as its core,
which translates IL byte code into H8/300 assembler code; the
entire tool-chain targets for the brickOS firmware.

As a first release, this software is still incomplete, and only
a very small subset of .NET is supported. We release it at this
point, anyway, so that Mindstorm enthusiast can get a first glance
at this technology, and contribute improvements they may develop.

The release is available from

Kind regards,
Martin v. Löwis
