I have not found any cross compiler packages for LegOS or the Hitachi H8
that are buildable under OS X (but would love to find one).

Anyone know of any?

David,

I was not sure how you tried to build the cross compiler but I know that
Apple provides several gnu tools that work under Darwin. Darwin from my
understanding is the underlying code for the  Mac OS X (See FAQ at
http://developer.apple.com/darwin/projects/darwin/faq.html). So one might be
able to build the cross compiler using the GNU-Darwin ported tools just as
one would use the cygwin ported tools but using the source code provided by
Apple. I was not sure if this was the path you were trying.

I am currently trying to build the cross compiler with the DJGPP (MS-Dos)
ported GNU tools. And come in February I will possible have brief access to
an Mac OS X Machine and was considering what I might be able to try.

Ed
