Has anyone tried to order some of the kits from the Dacta/Pitsco site?
there is an amusement park set that does bumper cars, tourbus that follows a
line, and a few other things for like $100.  didn't know what it was, or if
it would be cool to get.

As Ben Erwin has said in his reply, this set does not come with huge amount of
"plastic". However, this set includes 2 motors, 1 light sensors, 2 touch
sensors, and 1 ghost shroud. This makes it an excellent expansion set for
Mindstorms RIS.

I specially like the bumper design of its bumper car.

Unlike Lego S@H, Pitsco-Dacta charges both the shipping fee (6%, minimum $6)
and the sales tax (at least for California). Still, I think this set has
better value than the two "official" expansion sets combined.
