I'm re-posting this message at the lugnet.robotics.rcx level in case anyone
missed it.
I've put together a stand-alone application which I am calling ForthPad. It
is a Windows executable which should run on any version of Windows from 95
on up. It is a simple Forth editor that performs user-configurable syntax
highlighting. Users of pbForth (or any Forth dialect) may (or may not) find
this useful.
Eventually, I think BricxCC will support NQC as well as Forth, C++, and Java
as a full-featured code editor with syntax highlighting for each language.
How much built-in support will ever be there for direct communication to
non-standard firmwares is yet to be determined. It will at the very least
be able to download non-standard firmwares (I've got that working already).
The next release of BricxCC will probably lessen the usefulness of ForthPad
unless you are looking for a simple Forth-aware editor that doesn't have all
the overhead of BricxCC.
If you are interested in trying ForthPad you can download it from:

Thanks,
John Hansen
