Feeding the RCX 1.0 from RIS 1.5

Hi, I'd like to know what kind of adapter I could use (and how) for supplying my RCX with power, since it has no inlet. I have tried to use DC adapters for 6, 9, and 12 Volts, all without success. I connected them to the plates inside the battery (...) (23 years ago, 22-Aug-01, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

  EmuLegOs lives again

EmuLegOs now supports LegOS 0.2.4 API Those who have been on the list for awhile may remember the LegOS emulator EmuLegOs, which lets you run and debug your LegOS programs on your PC. It had not been actively maintained since LegOS 0.1.x. I've (...) (23 years ago, 21-Aug-01, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

Re: Non Robot uses of the RCX

Hi, I just remembered that just pressing the "respond" button doesn't work with this list, because you also have to change the address, so sorry Frank, you read the following already... OK, now for the message: I used it to generate a Minimum (...) (23 years ago, 21-Aug-01, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

  Re: Convert NQC to legOS

(...) If it could take an NQC program and convert it, ready to go, into LegOS. That would be very cool. Many of us just don't understand C very well and to be able to just tweak our progs for the better power and speed would be very welcome. But (...)   Convert NQC to legOS

I have been thinking about how to convert NQC program to legOS program when I found standard firmware only supports 8 levels output, but legOS can support 255 levels. I wanted to write the converting software by myself, but I don't have enough time (...) (23 years ago, 21-Aug-01, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos, lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)

  Re: RIS2.0/legOS/linux and win98

Hey, I have the same question! I've been driving myself crazy for the last few days trying to find some information on the subject. I sent an e-mail to Markus Noga, the author of LegOS and he said it doesn't support USB, only serial. I cant even (...) (23 years ago, 20-Aug-01, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

Re: Non Robot uses of the RCX

I calculated the acceleration of gravity once with a light sensor, touch sensor (for timing purposes), a ruler, and ROBOLAB 2. It didn't involve a whole lot of data so it didn't make it into the Sample Projects of ROBOLAB Investigator, but some (...) (23 years ago, 20-Aug-01, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

  RIS2.0/legOS/linux and win98

(...) The path to the gcc-lib directory where cc1 resides is hardcoded in the gcc binary.   Non Robot uses of the RCX

VLL macro blocks for RIS 2.0

(URL) is a RIS 2.0 save file (you'll need to right-click and save it) that is a set of macro blocks to do VLL. After you open it, drag the big stack on the right into your My Blocks bin.   Re: problems with legos on notebook

Hi Michael, Try the --slow option on firmdl3. This forces it to use the slow download speed, and may help. Also, use --debug to display more debugging info. This may help someone here to work out what the problem is. I'm not sure what the equivalent (...) (23 years ago, 18-Aug-01, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

Re: problems with nqc under linux

It looks like the serial port just isn't getting the right settings (baud, parity, etc). I'm not sure how to go about diagnosing/fixing it...NQC makes some rather straightforward POSIX calls to configure the serial port. If it is not working, then (...)
