Unfortunately, my NXT screen died. I'm getting by with using the NeXTScreen
utility to display on the laptop (very nice utility, BTW). However, I am using
RobotC and the screen is a bit distorted, for example:

It's still usable, but I was wondering how hard it would be to get a good screen
capture. I'm using RobotC 1.40, 753, Aug 4, 2008.
I have downloaded official LEGO firmware to the brick and used NeXTScreen
successfully (no distortion). It seems to me that the firmware would be limited
to the physical screen geometry in both cases, so I don't understand why LEGO
firmware works and RobotC firmware does not.
I don't have a working NXT to test with, but I assume the RobotC firmware
displays just fine on the native NXT screen. Can anyone confirm/deny?
Lastly, are there any possible fixes for a dead NXT screen? I tried opening the
case and looking for connectors to be reseated, to no avail ...
Any and all help appreciated.

| (...) Robot C has the ability to display what's on the screen, also. You shouldn't need to use NeXtScreen (...) Look in the forums on NXTasy.com for an answer. People (including me) have found re soldering the surface mount caps on the back of the (...) (16 years ago, 6-Mar-09, to lugnet.robotics.nxt)
