I am trying to get my Handyboard to work off of the 9.6V battery without the
DC adapter connected. With the DC adapter hooked directly to the cpu board
and the battery connected everything works fine. Without the cable just
using the 9.6V battery I get nothing. I checked the grounds on Fig. 9.6
Power Supply Schematic from the Handyboard Tech Reference. I am measuring
+- 2 volts between the battery gnd and the charger gnd. Is this the proper
voltage? Any help on the subject would be greatly appreciated.

| Brian, First I would check the voltage of the battery itself. You should get about 10 volts. If not you either have a bad battery or a problem with your charger.
