Reading PWM Servo Signal into Handyboard

I need to read the pulse width modulated signal put out by a radio control
receiver into the Handyboard. I have thought about using a radio control PWM
to electric motor speed controller and feeding this into an analog in port
on the Handyboard but was wondering if there was a better and less expensive
way to accomplish this. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
