May I suggest you test your system for response to invisible light? You could shine an Infrared LED onto it to see what you read. There are also "UV Cutoff" Filters available at photography shops supplying color darkroom equipment (UV from the bulb (...) (25 years ago, 26-Feb-00, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)
