Hello,
I had the serial cable connected to the com port that was not working.
I went to Control Panel
System,
device manager
Ports[COM&LPT]
Communications Port[COM1]
Only one com. port is listed here but I have another serial port physically
next to com1. Where do I go to enable this port or can I?
Anyhow, the connection is working fine now on com1. Problem solved. Sorry to
write before exploring further.
