This is an interesting device for all HC11 applications:
The LM2925 Low dropout regulator with delayed reset (from National
Semiconductor).
It is a 5 lead TO220 package including the usual 5V regulator (750 mA min,
1.2 A typ.) plus a reset output with adjustable delay (one external cap
adjusts delay from 12 mS to 12 s).
I'm not that familiar with the HC11, but I remember it needs the reset low
for something like 350 mS while powering up. This regulator does it all in
one package, no need for the DS1233-10.
Is the max. current enough for the handy-board, the miniboard?
If it appears to be suitable, maybe future board designs should include the
layout for such an item.
I'm going to try it, when time permit, with a HC11E2.
Bernard.
