Now THIS is weird. The battery light status seems to depend on the
light going to the Sharp IR sensor now!!! If I expose it to light, the
battery light turns on. If it's dark, it turns off. Modulated IR light
makes the batt light flash. Have I fried every chip on this board, or
what???
