"slapped around", is that a term they teach at School of Engineering and
Computer Science:-)
I doubt if the problem is with the 68HC11. H/W and S/W usually work
consistantly, as designed. Working with Windows/DOS apps are a different
story.
I use HBDL and it works every time on my PC.
