A while back there was a discussion on cheap sonar. I was wondering if
anyone has tried the sonar device from this page
http://www.seattlerobotics.org/encoder/may97/sonar2.html . If someone has
tried it, could you tell me what you think of it, and if you ran into any
problems using it.
Also, I just put my house up for sale and the real estate agent used a
small sonar device ( AccuTape) to measure the rooms. She told me the cost
of the device was roughly $30-$40. Has anyone tried to use a device like
this for robotics. The device was very small. It was about the size of a
business card.

| I have a couple of the original sonar modules made by Texas Instruments (I think these are the ones the article is describing) and they work just like the model 6500 ones that Polariod now sells. You can also get them from (URL) connector on these (...) (26 years ago, 30-Mar-98, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

| If Port "A" on my miniboard doesn't have +5v supplied do I have a hardware problem or does this just need to be enabled in software? | Can someone give me the info on the robot lawnmower mailing list? As I recall they split off with their own list a while back, but I didn't follow to the new list. There are some developments in Differential GPS that they should probably be made (...) (26 years ago, 4-Jun-98, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)
