hi.
I was looking thru the new Robot Store catalog (www.mondo.com) and saw that
they were selling hexapod walkers. I was wondering has anyone here built a
hexapod? Mondotronix had it so that there were 2 horizontal crossbars per 1
vertical leg. While pulling up or pushing down on one of these crossbars you
could move the leg straight vertical, up ro down. I'm wondering: what would
be the easiest and cheapest wy to actuate thin? ninotol, muscle wire, motor?
the device looked like this:
12345678901234567890123456789012345678901234567890123456789012345
leg /-------------------------\

side per leg>
| ------------+-----'N' |

| -----------+ 'M' |

Thats what ti looked like. extend your browser so the numbers dont stretch
offscreen or in 2 rows.
when bar 'N' is moves, the bar 'M' moves parallel to it, resuting in the leg
going straight up. What would be the best way to actuate 'N'?
Does anyone know a cheap source for motors or servos?
