| Did anyone ever opened up a Polaroid Spectra Instant camera? I did. The sonar rangefinder is almost identical to the Polaroid 6500 exept there are some problems that I encountered 1) BLNK and BINH have no efect on the ECHO output 2) The ECHO signal (...) | I've used the sonar board and transducer from several Polaroid "Pronto Land Cameras" for just that purpose in that past. I don't know how these compare to the Spectra; I would assume they're similar if not identical. There was an article in an old (...) (27 years ago, 21-Sep-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)
