I just ordered some from Mouser, the smaller of the two physical
sizes they have, 3K to 100K I believe are the light/dark resistances.
These give analog(PORT) values of about 10 in ordinary fluorescent-lit
room and 225 in complete darkness. These are physically a nice size as
well because with a *slight* enlargement with a handdrill, they fit
perfectly inside the hole in a LEGO beam. I mount them in the 1x2 beam
with a LEGO half-pin as a grommet/strain relief for the exiting wire,
and a LEGO grey pin sawn in half as a tubelike shield. This makes a
great classroom "standard sensor" package.
