I've tried the enable_cheesy_encoders and it doesn't seem to work for me
either.
What I get is 0 for the portX_shaft_count all the time.
Is this what you're getting?
I've looked at the code but I couldn't see why it wouldn't work.
Were you or anyone able to figure this out?
Please let me know. :)

Digital port 0
Hi All,
I am a student in Sydney, Australia, and I have successfully got the
Polaroid sonar working as well as two quad encoders, however, they both
use the digital 0 (rightmose digital pin), has anyone got some code which
implements both of these and does not share the same port. I have ports
0,1 used by the encoders, and 2 used by a servo, 3,4 by the encoders and I
would like the sonar to use port 5. Is this possible? I am not to good at
Assembly, and I have tried to understand the code, and I think the 0,1
ports have some special timing/counter capablities, is this correct. If
so, can this modified to use another port. Also, I have looked at the code
for encoders.asm, and tried to use the enable_cheesy_encoders for port 2,3
and this does not seem to work, can anyone verify whether encoders.asm
works with ports 2 and 3 because I think that this code can be use to
enable a port other than 0,1. Thanks in advance, and information would be
greatly appreciated, I am currently struggling but learning heaps.
Thanks Michael
