In a past e-mail, Yoni Garbourg (sorry Yoni, I couldn't find your email
address) posted a message inquiring about flame detection. Adam Cox
responded about finding sensors at www.infusionsystems.com.

Yoni, what did you decide to use?

I have had some success amplifying a infrared detector enhanced by a
magnifying lens. The output drives a port on the HB. The detector is
driven by a servo and gears which "sweeps" almost 360 degrees. Though
there is some other ambient  IR to deal with, I'm looking for the sudden
pulse developed as it passes a flame. I've been thinking of
incorporating a low pass filter to weed out any high frequency  IR.
Maybe that will improve it's response.

Any thoughts?
Terry King.
