  Servo_a5

Hi, I'm using IC v3.1 beta 4. When I try to load the servo_a5.icb and the servo_a7.icb that I downloaded from the handyboard web page I get the following error: Fatal internal error: Illegal line in .s19 file And then it completely kicks out of IC.   Pyroelectric Detectors

I'd like to incorporate a pryroelectric IR detector into my robot design. "Mobile Robots" has some detail on sensors, but I'd like to keep it cheap. I have an out-of-service Heath/Zenith motion detector lying about - is the sensor within similar to (...) (28 years ago, 12-Nov-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  R/C cars as robot chassis

Here is a rule of thumb to keep handy when converting R/C cars to robots; o If the R/C car used either NiCd batteries, or it had a NiCd battery pack, the motors will draw too much current for the Handyboard. This is strictly true of any controller (...) (28 years ago, 12-Nov-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Re: building a bot

From your post it seems that only one battery was used. It is best to have the motor(s) running from a separate battery. Apropriate capacitors for RF noise and large start up currents should be considered. Have fun! (...) Peter (...) ---...--- Ed (...) (28 years ago, 12-Nov-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Re: building a bot

Peter I tried to do modify a racer and found that the motors drew so much current that the board would continually reset. Another problem with the racers is that they are geared for high speed, not torque. I ended up making a circular frame and (...) (28 years ago, 12-Nov-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  building a bot

I seem to remember a while ago some person on this group was talking about making a robot from one of those tyco rc cars. Could I just plug the motors straight into the handy board and use the power supply from the inside of the car. Would a motor (...) (28 years ago, 11-Nov-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Used Handy Boards

Does anyone have a used HB? I would like a built one with a serial board too, it would have to work also. I could buy a complete kit with the serial board too. Any info would be great. I started using the board at school and would like to use one at (...) (28 years ago, 11-Nov-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Re: User Buttons

(...) make sure you are loading "lib_hb.c" and not "lib_r22.c". -Fred (28 years ago, 11-Nov-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Re: (no subject)

(...) I'm pretty sure JDR microdevices carries the 1233. check (URL)2 > Since there are 16 address lines comming from the 6811. Could I use (...) The HB uses A15, along with the E clock and ~reset, as the enable line for the ram. The 64k address (...) (28 years ago, 10-Nov-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)
