  Looking for TI SN754410s.

I am looking for four (4) TI SN754410s. I have tried all of the usual electronic parts distributors, but they are all out of stock. I would appreciate any leads or suggestions. Thanks. (28 years ago, 9-Oct-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  IR Detectors

Does anyone know where to buy the electronics that are used to make security system IR/motion detectors? The complete wireless modules cost about $50, I was wondering if they could be bought without the transmitter and if these would be easy to (...)   More info of serial I/O

I am trying to get the handyboard to communicate with a standard COM port. I have Randy Sargent's code of how to communicate serially, however, a terminal program cannot find the handyboard (I get a "Cannot open COM Port" error). I think that there (...) Along similar lines, I've been searching for a web site I saw once. It features a basic stamp or PIC controlled LCD terminal, to be directly connected to a serial line. I was hoping to possibly scavenge some code off of the site, but I can't find (...) (28 years ago, 6-Oct-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  serial code

I'm just curious if anyone has written any code to communicate with the handy board through its serial line - either on the PC or handy board side. (Yes, I have the routines Randy Seargent posted, I'm looking for implementations of them...) I'm (...) (28 years ago, 6-Oct-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Tutebot

I am just starting to learn about basic electronics and robotics. I purchased the book "Mobile Robots" and have read through parts of it. I decided to try and build the "Tutebot", a simple analog brained robot with a bumper sensor. If anyone has (...) (28 years ago, 4-Oct-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

(...) The solution is something real dumb. I sent a message to all. You'll laugh at it. :) (28 years ago, 1-Oct-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Re: mobile robot books

Accessing the Borenstein thing seems to be a problem quite a few are having. I got a few messages questioning how I eventually got in. Instead of responding to all of them, I figure I'd post it to everyone. Below is the message from Sriram to me. It (...) (28 years ago, 1-Oct-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)
