if you are not trying to divide numbers of great precision(many significant figures), then you can try multiplying by some order of 10, performing your division, then dividing by that same order of 10. i have used this before, but not for the same (...) (...) I've asked for help with the floating point bugs in IC before, and nobody seems to care. Unfortunately, I've come to not use IC floating point variables at all, since I can't trust them. Dave As far as connecting the grounds, that just means that the HB and the motors must share a common ground. The H-bridges need to reference the direction and PWM signal to ground and if that ground reference is not the same as the HB's the motors (...)   RE: New user - printf question/problem
 
I'm still not sure what caused the problem, but a new bootstrap/reinstall of the pcode seems to have fixed the problem. I can now successfully use the printf function.
