  SPI Bus problem solved!!!!!!
 
Hi-dee ho, I'm happy to report that I've successfully gotten a Handyboard to communicate to a Miniboard via the Synchronous Serial bus (SPI). The secret was (as I alluded to in my last post on the subject) setting the DDRD (Data direction for port (...) (28 years ago, 16-May-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)
 
  Available J sockets on Hboard?
 
Are there any unused sockets on the Handyboard? For example, the bottom 2 sockets in J6 look to be unused, and I could use a couple of sockets to bring out some signals. Now that the thing is assembled, it's difficult to follow traces on the top (...) (28 years ago, 15-May-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

(...) Yes. The interface will draw power from the HB's battery. Don't leave the HB plugged into the interface w/o the adapter for extended periods, because the interface will drain the HB's battery even if the HB is switched off. -Fred (28 years ago, 15-May-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)
