Scott, The J1 connector has the following pin assignments: pin 1 GND pin 4 INIT pin 9 V+ pin 6 OSC pin 7 ECHO pin 8 BINH pin 2 BLNK (28 years ago, 24-Dec-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

Hi I've just received my Polaroid sonar stuff, but there's no documentation ! (of course Polaroid appear to have closed for Xmas.....) Does anyone have the pin assignments for the 6500 series Polaroid sonar module. The connector is roughly in the (...) (28 years ago, 23-Dec-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

(...) Mine was doing what sounds like exactaly the same thing... Try replacing you MAX 232 chip if nothing else works, I blew mine out (god knows how) a while ago, and was acting like you said. Just a suggestion :) -Wes (28 years ago, 23-Dec-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

I spilled coffee on my handyboard this morning - it was powered off at the time. There was liquid across several pins on the 6811, though. I removed the 6811 and cleaned it up, then reinserted it.
