The SPI (synchronous peripheral interface) does not do normal RS-232 (aka "asynchronous serial") in hardware. you must write an assembly language driver to do the timing. at some point in january i plan to release a 1200 baud output driver. if (...) Hi, I wrote recently asking information about how to use the Polaroid sonar device with the Handy Board. I got back information on where to look for software but no real information on how to connect the hardware. Could anyone help me out with this? (...) I have seen these all over - they are simple 900Mhz wireless links for video/audio. I think Radio Shack sells a device like this, as do the two places Mike Ross mentioned, JDR (URL) and Supercircuits (URL)---...--- (...) (28 years ago, 3-Dec-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

(...) I put one on my project. Expect video dropouts from Rabbit type (i.e. 900 MHz) devices, when the robot goes behind trees, dense walls, and other areas.
