I doesn't get any simpler than the way you're supposed to do it.
Attach the tower to a serial port, install the software, and you're
running. Remember to check the battery in the tower, and try to remove
it for a couple of secs... Other than that... Is your serial port
okay? I'm running W98, and has absolutely no problems.
