| Purists please skip this post as it involves non-LEGO sensors. Lacking an RCX, but loving the motorized cows ( (URL) ), I needed to find a way to control them with the code pilot (from set 8479 Barcode Multi-Set) I have. The only LEGO sensor that (...) (20 years ago, 2-Dec-04, to lugnet.robotics.codepilot, lugnet.trains)

| (...) Sorry. It has only one passive input (you can't attach light-sensors or rotation-sensors to it). The RCX, as you may know, has three outputs and three active inputs and you can choose from lots of ways on how to program it: Standard (...) | (...) The codepilot was available in set 8479. To program it you swiped it across various bar codes. I don't own an RCX, so I can't give you a detailed comparison. From what I understand, the codepilot is/was more difficult and more time consuming (...) (20 years ago, 4-Aug-04, to lugnet.robotics.codepilot)
