In the instructions of 8238, there are details of the new 5206 timer set.

It is a small device with LCD display linked to a rotation sensor by a piece
of wire. The instructions show how to fit it to the back axle of one of the
dragsters.

Cool! This looks a neat little item. I'll bet it's a lot like a bicycle computer,
with eiter a reed switch or an actual contact in the sensor.

Now, for measuring distance or speed, we'll need some indication of the
circumference of the wheel the axle is measuring, right? Time is a no-brainer.

I wonder how that bit of user-interface is done?
