Hi!
Could you suggest the tweaking mechanism for the 'dead time' of gears.
I am facing similar situation with a plotter that I am trying to program on
RCX. The length of a lines drawn with motor moving for same time in opposite
directions is not the same. There is an ratio of 5:6 in the length of the
two lines.
Could you suggest how you toubleshoot it?

| (...) on (...) opposite (...) The solution I came up with was to measure the time it took the gear train to go from one direction - through it's dead zone - to biting in the other direction. Then whenever the gear train needs to switch direction, (...) (25 years ago, 29-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics)
