FYI, the serial interface on a Casio E-100 (Right in front of me) Is
compatible
with a the standard RS232 port. And you can buy a 9-pin cable.

Eric

It's not a standard 9 pin connector and the serial interface is a MAJOR
drain on the batteries (at least for my Cassiopea E10)

Probably much simpler to just plug into the serial port that all CE • systems
use to dock with their Windows/NT hosts. It's typically COM1 and you will
probably just need a 9-9 pin converter.

I have the Jornada 680 - the H/PC version - and it's a fantastic • machine

it's not trivial.

rajackson@qnx.com once suggested this solution:

"Since IRDA can operate as a simple serial device. It would be simple
to build a IRDA to RS-232 converter (it will need a IR led and Photo
diode and some level shifters). The you could plug the RCX tower into
the converter and the CE device could then signal the tower using it's
IRDA port."

I wonder if anyone has tried this?
