Hello,
has anyone tried to control the Micro Scout directly with the RCX ?
It seems that the Micro Scout can be controlled with the same bar
codes (as light pulses) as the Code Pilot using it's "P" program.
You can download a program to generate Code Pilot bar codes and
print them on paper (go to: www.lego.com/codepilot/default.asp).
I tried it and measured the length of the black and white stripes
and made a simple program in the normal RCX language. I used this
special fibre optics lamp (red LEDs) from the Extreme Creatures
set, because a normal lamp is probably to slow for the quick light
pulses.
It didn't work, probably because the RCX program was too slow (the
Wait command can't go under 1/10 second) or because i've read the
bars in the wrong direction, but i'll retry with NQC. Does anybody
know how the Code Pilot bar codes have to be scanned - from left to
right or the other way around ?
bye,
Christof.
