It mentions something about games, and being able to write your own... but
isn't this just an SDK type thing?!

Which one do you recommend?
I only ask because I want to buy another unit. Everyone seems to have the RCX
(as do I), not the CyberMaster. Is there a reason for it?

The CyberMaster has a lot of potential and in fact can do things the RCX is not
able to, like to count the rotations of the two internal motors.
The problem of the CyberMaster is to harness it's potential, because the
software is all about games and no programming at all.
You need to be almost a "hacker" type of person and good at programming Visual
Basic/C++ (or other advanced language) to make complex things, because the
CyberMaster internal memory for programs is rather limited. Oh, and you can
also use RCXCC with the CyberMaster.
On the other hand you have a Radio link which makes possible a great autonomy
from the tower compared with the RCX (I'd say a few bedrooms away).
The most efficient way to build something rather complex out of the CyberMaster
is to make it behave like the Mars Rover, where the PC is the "brain" and the
bot only follows orders and reacts to problems.
If the program is not very complex (most aren't) you can create it with RCXCC
and forget Visual Basic at all.
Remember the CyberMaster is a bit more limited on sensor hardware (no fancy
sensors), and it's layout with two internal motors (with tachometers) is well
fitted to create vehicles.
You also get two HUGE exclusive tracks, some interesting parts and 3 touch
sensors. The two internal tachometers can also work like rotation sensors.
Mail me if you need more info.

Neither technology nor efficiency can acquire more time for you,
because time is not a thing you have lost. It is not a thing you ever had.
