HI everybody
I think this would be a GREAT idea. Lego Racing......wow!!!!!
However Would you need to use the 8448 or could you just build a car
from the ground up! i think that this would be even more of a challange.
Come to think of it i think i will start it this weekend.

   I also have two questions:
How do you use to motors? Are they mechanicaly linked or
something?

How much does the 8448 cost in the US?

Thanks for any help you could give me.

Our rules do not preclude the building of your own car.

They will insist that all cars have a minimum weight (near that of the
8880 or 8448) or greater.  Otherwise smaller bare bones vehicles would
have a major advantage.

I also think all entries should be approximately the same scale.  That
of the 8880 & 8448.

For spectators, cars looking like cars is a nice plus, and a bigger
challenge for designers.

I think many will begin modifying an 8880 or 8448 as they are an
excellent start.

I think custom chassis and very impressive looking cars should get
bonus blocks (explained in another post).  Loose blocks if you don't
have a working steering wheel or suspension.  Additional blocks for
all features like working pop lights, number of gear ratios used,
working doors, rear hatch, hood, etc...

Designers may choose any drive they want.  2 or 4, front or rear wheel
drive.

All cars must have an engine.  The neater looking the better.
