I've developed a circuit that can be used to measure the speed of a powered
motor. It works by measuring the voltage generated by the motor during the
off period of the PWM. Since the highest power output setting is on all the
time, it doesn't work for that setting. Since the speed will slow down as
the torque is increased, it can be used to measure torque as well.
