But you can also make them "sucking" by mechanically pulling or pushing the
piston. Their working principle is applying pressurized air to the one face
of the piston, then piston goes opposite side, right*. so if you pull or
push the piston by other means (most probably by the help of another couple
of pistons) you get a low pressure volume, providing that the air supply
inlet is connected to a sealed vacuum chamber, etc.
