Hello,
I'm new to using LEGO/Mindstorms. I've been trying to get Mindstorms to work
on my Windows NT4 sp3 system with only limited success.
I can install and run the software. The Trouble Shooter reports that RCX is
working and my IR transmitter is working. I seem to be able to download the
firmware into the RCX, but I can't download programs into the RCX. I get error
code 8334 from the Setup Part 2 guide or "RCX is not in range or not switched
on" from the Setup Options menu.
> From the RCX Command Center 2.3 program I get "Member not found" errors. Many
things work in this program. But downloading programs doesn't.
I've tried two different COM ports with identical results.
This Mindstorms system works fine on a different Windows 95 system.
Does anyone have any insights or suggestions? I've not found any specific
information on NT4 compatibility with Mindstorms except Lego's Mindstorm site
which just says it's not supported. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

IMHO it is the best development platform for windows users. Have you verified that the firmware (...) (25 years ago, 21-Jun-99, to lugnet.robotics)
