  256 Colours
 
Has anyone been able to get rid of the annoying message concerning 256 colours? More to the point, every time I exit the Mindstorms software, my system colours are set at 256 colours and I have to change back to my original setting of 32 bit (...) (25 years ago, 16-Jun-99, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) Amen! (...) If you are going to go that far, you might as well switch to Linux, X, emacs, and LegOS. I certainly don't have any color limitation problems with that setup :) In fact, 2-color B&W seems to work without any error messages at (...) (25 years ago, 16-Jun-99, to lugnet.robotics)

the problem with that is you have to reboot most of the time, so the solution is to get the freeware from microsoft (i think) called PowerTools 98 or actually 95, included is a piece of software called quickres that allows you to make changes to (...) (25 years ago, 8-Jul-99, to lugnet.robotics)

I believe the product you are looking for is PowerToys. I don't see a need to change the colors unless performance is greatly affected, so just ignore the message. Sorry if this was already said, I just don't want to read all of the posts. (25 years ago, 8-Jul-99, to lugnet.robotics)
