I'm working on a wall-following robot to vacuum my baseboards.

I just recently hooked up a $8.00 6v mini-vac to the motor output, and
I'm mounting a touch
sensor near the vacuum brush to detect the wall/baseboard. I had a front
touch bumper,
but it proved rather inefficient for trying to orient parallel to a
wall. I'm going
to attempt using the IR port instead.

Eureka wants to sell this robotic vacuum cleaner for $1,000 dollars a
piece, according to this interesting article ("Robots becoming a part of
everyday
life")(http://www.zdnet.com/zdnn/stories/comment/0,5859,2270775,00.html).
I'm curious- has anyone done anything similar with an RCX?
