I'm working on a wall-following robot to vacuum my baseboards. I just recently hooked up a $8.00 6v mini-vac to the motor output, and I'm mounting a touch sensor near the vacuum brush to detect the wall/baseboard. I had a front touch bumper, but it (...) Someone has (can't tell you who) already. They put a feather duster fish-tail style on the back of a 'bot and use it to sweep up cat hair off the kitchen floor. Search the list archives for "sweep", I think. (...) (25 years ago, 9-Jun-99, to lugnet.robotics)

I've always toyed with the less-technical idea of mounting a dustmop to a robot and let it do it's thing while I'm at class. Someday perhaps...
