I'm sure this side-effect didn't happen by accident, there's no real reason to switch the LED when it's blocked if all you want is pretty flashing light (...) | | | | (...) No, there's only one LED and it moves. I haven't opened one up, but if you turn it slowly and look down the holes you can watch the LED get brighter and then dimmer as it goes past.
