Home-brew sensor fans -

I have developed a converter brick to ease the job of attaching powered
sensors to the RCX.  The brick converts the RCX sensor interface to a
standard three wire interface (+5, ground, and input voltage.)  For more
info go to
http://www.flash.net/~sevcik/       Look under "Sensors".

I wonder if you have looked at the simple method for connecting sensors to a
RCX on my web page?  It really only takes 6 diodes and a capacitor to create a
powered sensor interface.  Add a opamp if you need gain.  This work was
originally developed by Sven Horstmann but you can find it at:
http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/Michael_Gasperi/lego.htm
under the General Purpose Analog Interface section.

(...) [snip] (...) Ahh, but the stipulated purpose for Pete's sensor brick is that it gives a _linear_ response that isn't corrupted by the non-linear diode drop caused by currents that are often less than 2ma and perhaps not past the "knee" region (...)
