Put copies of available software on the CD AND the URLs of the sites
they come from. That way people can evaluate the software without having
to download it all and get the latest copies of anything they like via
the URLs.
The people who buy the book and get the CD will probably not be the same
sort of people who spend their time reading lists and keeping track of
what is going on. They need a different kind of resource.
