IR transmission was pretty tough to get at. Carrier frequency was the final key - there are no crystals to create the IR carrier, so the processor has to provide it. It turns out that 8-bit t1 output is used for just that purpose. Guess I'll have to (...) (26 years ago, 9-Nov-98, to lugnet.robotics)
