Hi
I am of the same opinion - living in Australia, Mindstorms will not be
available till 1999 sometime - I have built a Home Brew Lego Robot that is
driven by the Paralell Port on a PC.
I too would like to see other Lego Robot type stuff apart from MS - I am in
no way denergrating the excellent work people are doing in dissecting the
RCX thingy and am storing it away for the time when I get one.
So come out of the woodwork all you Lego / Technic engineers and lets share
ideas tips hints etc.
I am currently working on multiplexing 5 micro switches on to one port of
my A/D converter - using some resistors etc.
Regards Brian
PS : I will be in the US in January - mainly LA / San Francisco / Mammoth
Moutain areas - if anyone has some suggestions of Lego/Interesting type
places to visit I would be most appreciative - I have a 10yr old son who is
also a Lego fan.
Also a good place(s) to check out Mindstorms - possibly have a
play/feel/touch/sniff etc.
Anyone on this list live in any of those areas who might like a chat with
an ocker from down under ?
